2020 RAM Rebel vs. 2020 Ford Raptor

The 2020 RAM Rebel vs. the 2020 Ford Raptor: two trucks that represent the top of the class. Whether you’re an off-road junkie or just want the option to break free from the streets of Dunlap or Bartonville, these trucks will do the job. But they’re not created equal. If you’re weighing Rebel vs. Raptor, you’re not alone, but the all-new RAM 1500 Rebel comes out on top.

Rebel vs. Raptor: Pricing

When you’re looking for your off-road adventuring truck, you’re usually willing to go all out. But even if budget is no concern, you should think twice before overspending on a truck.

  • The 2020 RAM Rebel is priced to own starting at just $44,240 (MSRP), making it an affordable off-road machine and one of our most popular RAM 1500 trucks for sale.
  • The 2020 Ford Raptor is decked out with features drivers might not want or need, raising its price significantly. It starts at $53,205.

Now, if it were just a few dollars difference, we wouldn’t think anything of that. But the nearly $10,000 between these two models leaves plenty of room for you to pick and choose upgrades you want on your RAM Rebel and still save over buying a Raptor.

Rebel vs. Raptor: Performance

  • The 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor has a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine with a 4×4 drivetrain. The EcoBoost might appeal to some, but the turbo power can ring hollow to Bartonville drivers — and it’s less efficient than the Rebel’s EcoDiesel.
  • The 2020 RAM 1500 Rebel can be equipped with either a 3.6L V6 of its own, a brawnier 5.7L V8, or the EcoDiesel (a 3.0L V6 diesel getting up 24 highway mpg), all available with 4×4, of course. RAM simply offers drivers more options.

Rebel and Raptor Exterior Features

The Ford F-150 Raptor is a fairly straightforward model that doesn’t include a lot of frills or options to explore. That means what you see on the lot is what you’ll get. You’ll ride through Galesburg on 17-inch aluminum wheels, LED lighting, single color exterior, and other standards. The 5-foot-5-inch bed is also a little shorter than others on the market, which might make it fall short when you’re hauling cargo.

The Rebel keeps things interesting with a wide variety of options, so you can create the truck of your dreams. Sure, you’ll get the same efficient and bright LED lighting and fog lamps to improve visibility. But you’ll also get different options that help you stand out from the crowd, like two-tone exterior and interior color options, and bold 18-inch black polished wheels. Add in perks like Uconnect app, 5-foot-7-inch bed, and more – and you’ve got one incredible ride!
